Purchasing & Receiving Coordinator

Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor celebrating its 40th anniversary of service on Oahu. Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor with over 40 years of service on Oahu. We serve residential, commercial and governmental customers. While window/door screens are still important to our business, we also sell and install windows, sliding and hinged glass doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and store front systems.

Our purchasing coordinator works closely with the owner and is responsible for purchasing of stock and special order materials (screen materials, glass, windows and doors, shower enclosures and hardware, etc.), inventory control, management of order receiving, and various data collection activities. Manages and maintains the overall ordering, receipt, and distribution process for materials in a manner consistent with established guidelines. Creates purchase orders, oversees tracking of materials ordered, received, or delivered, maintains inventory levels, and updates computer system accordingly.  You are the primary contact with all suppliers.  College degree preferred but not required.  Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs.

Accounts Payable Clerk

Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor with over 39 years of service on Oahu. We serve residential, commercial and governmental customers.  While window/door screens are still important to our business, we also install windows, glass doors, sliding and hinged, shower enclosures, mirrors, and store front systems.  From window screens to jalousie operator replacement, to wardrobe mirror doors for an entire Waikiki hotel or multi-slide doors for a Kahala home, we do it all.

An important part of the Accounting team, the Accounts Payable Clerk compiles, processes and maintains all payable records.  This includes verifying invoices, coding, posting and making payments.

Installation and Service Technician

Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor with over 40 years of service on Oahu. We serve residential, commercial and governmental customers. While window/door screens are still important to our business, we also install windows, glass doors - both sliding and hinged, shower enclosures, mirrors, and store front systems. From window screens to jalousie operator replacement to wardrobe mirror doors and shower enclosures to multi-slide doors for a Kahala home, we do it all. We do provide on the job training but we also seek experienced glaziers or carpenters with 3+ years experience. We have long term employees and want career minded applicants. A professional clean cut image is required and a clean driving abstract. We are a Drug Free Workplace do pre-employment as well as random drug testing.

Position reports to a crew leader while on the job and the operations manager. We are interested in having the successful applicant develop and to become a crew leader running a 2 to 3 man crew.

Helper - Glazier / Installation

Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor with over 39 years of service on Oahu. We serve residential, commercial and governmental customers.  While window/door screens are still important to our business, we also install windows, glass doors, sliding and hinged, shower enclosures, mirrors, and store front systems.  From window screens to jalousie operator replacement, to wardrobe mirror doors for an entire Waikiki hotel or multi-slide doors for a Kahala home, we do it all. We do provide on the job training but some construction experience is helpful.  You must be dependable, honest and hard working.  A willingness to learn is essential.  We have long term employees and want career minded applicants.  A professional clean cut image is required and a clean driving abstract.  We are a Drug Free Workplace do pre-employment as well as random drug testing.

Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor celebrating its 40th anniversary of service on Oahu.   We serve residential, commercial and governmental customers. While window/door screens are still important to our business, we also install windows, glass doors, sliding and hinged, shower enclosures, mirrors, and store front systems. From window screens to jalousie operator replacement, to wardrobe mirror doors for an entire Waikiki hotel or multi-slide doors for a Kahala home, we do it all. We will provide training specific to our products and services

Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales (CSR): Our CSRs are responsible for providing quality customer care and responding to all customer inquiries in a professional, courteous and efficient manner. CSRs help customers in our showroom, schedule appointments over the phone for our road crew and answer incoming telephone calls. Additionally our CSR staff sells our screen and glass, window and door products / services to customers in our showroom, through incoming telephone calls and on-line. To qualify, you must be a people person, have excellent customer service skills, good keyboarding skills, be able to read a tape measure, as well as have some experience with the Internet and Windows based programs. We will train you on our products and services. Some prior construction industry or hardware retail sales or related experience is helpful. Previous successful candidates have had prior experience in call centers, hospitality or customer service. Team members are responsible for inside sales, basic estimating, pricing, and customer service. Team members accept "over the counter" orders, take screen frame measurements, price materials, and complete order forms. Customer service prepares price quotes for residential and commercial customers and follows-up on jobs quoted. This is a long term opportunity. Some of our CSRs stay in Customer Service and some move on to senior estimating or into our operations and purchasing department.

Requirements: The successful applicant will be reliable, enthusiastic, courteous, and motivated. High School diploma or equivalent required. College a plus. Must have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with both Microsoft Word and Excel. We are a drug free workplace. Full and Part Time Positions available.
