Screens & Things is an established licensed glazing contractor with over 43 years of service on Oahu. We serve residential, commercial and governmental customers. While window/door screens are still important to our business, we also install windows, sliding and hinged glass doors, shower doors and custom enclosures, mirrors, window coverings, and store front systems. From window screens to window hardware replacement to wardrobe mirror doors and shower enclosures to multi-slide doors, we do it all. We seek experienced glaziers or carpenters, but we do provide on the job training for those looking to start a career with a stable company in a solid industry. Position reports to a crew leader while on the job and the operations manager. We are interested in having the successful applicant develop and to become a crew leader running a 2 to 3 man crew. We will provide training specific to our products and services. You just need to be willing to learn, be reliable, and motivated.
Join our team that sells our screen and glass, window and door products/services to customers in our showroom, through incoming telephone calls and on-line. Our CSRs are responsible for providing quality customer care and responding to all customer inquiries in a professional, courteous and efficient manner. You’ll help customers in our showroom, schedule appointments over the phone for our road crew and answer incoming telephone calls. Additionally, previous successful candidates have had prior experience in hospitality, retail sales, admin., or customer service. Team members are responsible for inside sales, basic estimating, pricing, and customer service. Team members accept "over the counter" orders, take screen frame measurements, price materials, and complete order forms. This is a long-term opportunity. Some of our associates stay in Sales / Customer Service and some move on to senior estimating or move into our operations and purchasing department.
Requirements: The successful applicant will be reliable, enthusiastic, courteous, and motivated. High School diploma or equivalent required and you must be able to read a tape measure. College a plus. Must have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with both Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. We are a drug free workplace. Full and Part Time Positions available.
Competitive starting wages based on experience, typically $12.00 to $15.00 per hour, plus incentive, and benefits (medical, 401K, paid vacation and holiday pay). Our Mapunupuna office is conveniently located near the airport with free employee parking.
