Screens & Things products are guaranteed one year (except for insect screens as noted below) against defects in workmanship and materials. Screens & Things agrees to repair or replace AT THE SHOP, FREE OF CHARGE, any returned product that we determine to be defective.
In the event that THE PRODUCT fails to conform to the warranty described above, Screens & Things will, AT ITS OPTION:
Repair product
Furnish the purchaser with another product (F.O.B. our shop)
Refund the purchase price of the product and be under no further obligation
Screens & Things shall have no liability under this warranty for:
Defects, damage or failure caused by improper handling, storage, or installations (If installed by other than Screens & Things personnel)
Any damage to the product caused by impact of foreign objects, acts of God, or by fire, explosion, or other casualty.
Defects or damage caused by the effect of air pollution, mildew, exposure to harmful chemicals or normal weathering caused by exposure to the elements. Normal weathering is defined as exposure to sunlight, salt air and extremes of weather and atmosphere that will cause any colored surface to gradually fade, chalk or accumulate dirt or stains.
The severity of any conditions depend on the cleanliness of the air in the area and many other local influences over which Screens & Things has no control. Screens & Things shall have sole discretion to determine, based on reasonable criteria, whether the product has experienced normal weathering.
Corrosion of any metal parts, otherwise known as hardware, except that such parts shall be warranted against corrosion for one (1) year from date of purchase if regularly cleaned of salt
Defects in insect screens that occur more than six (6) months from date of installation.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER ORAL OR WRITTEN WARRANTIES, LIABILITIES OR OBLIGATIONS OF SCREENS & THINGS. IN NO EVENT SHALL SCREENS & THINGS BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ANY DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING, ITS CONTENTS OR ANY PERSON THEREIN, RESULTING FROM THE BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN. NO REPRESENTATIVE OF SCREENS & THINGS IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY CHANGE OR MODIFICATION TO THIS WARRANTY.
